Crossing Windermere has never been easier. Using this ferry service you can explore the less visited side of Windermere leading over to Coniston and beyond.

The views as you cross are one of a kind and before you know it you’re heading off to Coniston saving buckets of time.

Windermere Ferry takes people, vehicles, horses and cycles across the lake. It links the busy eastern shore of the lake and the peaceful countryside between Windermere and Coniston on the west, where there are many attractions and facilities for walking, riding and cycling.

It carries up to 18 cars and over 100 passengers. The ferry is located on Bowness on Windermere Marina.
