Slack Cottage is located in quiet seclusion on the western shore of Lake Windermere, close to the picturesque hamlet of High Wray. It is 2 miles from Hawkshead and four miles from Ambleside.

The cottage was built over 300 years ago and was once owned by Beatrix Potter. It is set in 10 acres of grounds bordering the lake. The garden and its furniture is yours to enjoy.

There is a first class breakfast menu, served in their period dining room. All tastes are catered for, from traditional full English to lighter and vegetarian alternatives. There is ample parking and safe storage for bikes.
