Riverside B&B is just a 10-12 minute stroll into the centre of Ambleside along a quiet lane which gives it the feeling of being in a rural setting away from the hustle and bustle of Ambleside and yet still within easy access of all the restaurants and shops.
They provide little torches for your walk in to Ambleside as street lighting has not made it to Under Loughrigg which means that star gazing can be a real delight on a clear night. They have plenty of parking which is a real bonus, as parking is at somewhat of a premium in the centre of town.
“Peace and quiet” in a “relaxing spot” and “tranquil” are some of the most frequent comments guests refer to when staying here. They have a comfortable guest lounge with a log burning stove, which provides a cosy room to rest weary legs after a winter’s walk.
There is plenty of seating outside in the garden and terrace area where you can enjoy a cup of tea or drinks with the gentle sound of the River Rothay in the background during the summer months.
Traditional rooms with en suite bathrooms and river or garden views feature flat-screen TVs, DVD players, free WiFi, and tea and coffee making facilities. There’s a 4-poster bed and whirlpool bath in 1 room.
