The Lakeside & Haverthwaite has been running steam trains since 1973 along the picturesque Leven valley, from Haverthwaite Station to Lakeside Pier at the southern end of Windermere in the English Lake District.
The Lakeside Station is at the Lakeside Pier, at the southern end of Windermere, where you can arrive by boat from Waterhead or Bowness. There is ample parking.
The Aquarium of the Lakes is situated at Lakeside Station, and there is a restaurant on the Pier with panoramic views of Windermere.
