The Lakeland motor Museum is a treasure trove of all things car related. Located in Newby Bridge, near Windermere, its a great day out for all the family. They have a great selection of cars and vehicles to look at and a huge memorabilia section to peruse. This is an indoor activity so can be enjoyed whatever the weather.

Lakes Aquarium

Located in Newby Bridge, near Windermere, Lakes Aquarium is an aquarium with freshwater and marine life, featuring an underwater otter tunnel and stingrays. Great for the kids and located on the banks of Lake Windermere its fabulous fun for the whole family. The Otters are especially great to watch.

Go Ape is an aerial adventure course located in Grizedale Forest near Ambleside in the wonderful Lake District. With a zip wire, tree top adventure and a Segway course there is something for everyone here. You need to be an adventurous type though, however they do have things for the kids to do as well.
