How Head Barn is a c.300 year old, Grade 2 Listed lakeland barn. It forms part of the historic How Head collection of buildings, the oldest in Ambleside.
The full size, double en-suite room has a king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen. There is a TV with integral dvd player, a Bose Wave radio/cd player, Krups Mini Espresso machine, tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, hair dryer and free Wi-fi. The en-suite comprises a large walk-in shower enclosure with a rain shower head, wc, heated towel rail, wash hand basin and a back lit mirror with integral electric shaver point.
There are gorgeous views of the rising sun over Wansfell Pike and at night there is only the distant sound of the tumbling Stock Ghyll Beck. There is little or no passing traffic to disturb this peace!
Breakfast is taken in their own, otherwise private, south west facing lounge, also on the first floor. With it’s wood burning stove, there are magnificent views over the roof tops of Ambleside to Todd Crag and Loughrigg Fell – take your binoculars to breakfast!
